Recruitment & Selection

HR Management has a huge responsibility in terms of recruitment and selection of the most vital resource of any organization, i.e. human resource.

However, large number of HR professionals stop at seeing this function as a merely staff function of theirs and that’s a big mistake. They tend to act more like messengers or as a post office shuffling the resumes between candidates and various departments of the company without adding significant value in the process of recruitment and selection.

HR should take a more proactive role in terms of taking up responsibility and accountability to select and place the right people and the departments should get enough confidence in HR’s judgment. This will require HR to go into details of technical aspects of departments and their detailed working so that they can make right choices from the interview candidates even on their own.
