Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about America wanting out of this war, not wanting to fight, is a crock of bull&#*$. Americans love to fight, traditionally. All real Americans love the sting and clash of battle. You are here today for three reasons. First, because you are here to defend your homes and your loved ones. Second, you are here for your own self respect, because you would not want to be anywhere else. Third, you are here because you are real men and all real men like to fight.
The real hero is the man who fights even though he is scared. Some men get over their fright in a minute under fire. For some, it takes an hour. For some, it takes days. But a real man will never let his fear of death overpower his honor, his sense of duty to his country, and his innate manhood.
(Fortunately, Patton was not and even if he was alive today would not be gelded by the modern feminists as so many “men” in our modern military have been.)
I think he’d be happy to return to his grave after seeing the liberal generation that is so pampered and told how special they are. Mainly thanks to our liberal “bleeding heart” public school system that focuses on building self esteem over building the mind, character and competitiveness. Where even the kids that come in last place get a medal or a plaque. And an overly political correct mainstream TV and media filling the next generations’ head full of crap like accepting multiculturalism, alternative lifestyles and man made global warming. And people that are conservative, are: racists, bigots, greedy, and/or warmongers.
Todays 25 and under are so complacent and have been brainwashed by liberalism, that they have no patriotism and they think the government is there to take care of them. It’s really sad.

This question is moot. He was a General during a time that needed his type of gruffness. He was never a diplomat. He new what had to be done and would get it done. Now a days we have a hundred people making plans to attack and 200 hundred people planning to attack the plans. Patton was single minded. He new who the enemy was. Today we are unsure who the enemy is. Our leaders are indecisive. Patton was simple in his approach to a problem. One quote of his says it right, “A good plan executed today is better than a perfect plan executed at some indefinite point in the future.”. We have an excellent military but we handcuff them because of the politics going on in the back rooms. I guess you would say smoke and mirrors. with the election coming up its just going to get worse for our men and women.
